Irrespective of forehearth design Forehearth Services offer comprehensive training programs to teach both the fundamentals of forehearth operation and the skills necessary to ensure forehearths and distributors are operated at optimum performance.

Two types of training are available. The first, designed specifically for operators, provides an understanding of the processes inside the forehearth and within the cooling, control and combustion systems. The operators learn to predict, not only what will happen if they make an operational adjustment, but the timescale associated with that adjustment

The second course is designed to introduce new and alternative forehearth technology to technical management to ensure the forehearth technology they purchase is compatible with their plant´s production requirements.

The forehearth is arguably the most important element in the forming process and is a determining factor in the productivity of any glass plant.
