The Technical Information and Control System TICS was developed by BN Automation AG and has been used successfully for years. TICS closes the gap between the process levels and the product planning and plant management level.
The motivation for the use of TICS is the necessity of process data processing for the purposes of process control, detection control, optimisation and for the preparation and provision of the basic data for the superior production planning and the plant management level.
Implementation is by means of a scalable modular system which allows the efficient adaptation to the concrete requirements. Furthermore, various topologies (single-station, multi-station or inter-location systems by LAN/WAN) can be realised. The following is a brief introduction to the individual modules.
